Users, Groups, and Roles

Users, groups, and roles are created for authentication and authorization purposes.

You can use groups and roles created in IBM Cognos 8, and users, groups, and roles created in authentication providers. The groups and roles created in IBM Cognos 8 are referred to as Cognos groups and Cognos roles.
